Gig Hopping

Several Sundays ago (11/4) some friends and I went for a bit of a gig hop around Fitzroy area, it's a great way to say goodbye to the weekend, band start fairly early and get you out of the house to stop thinking about the coming working week.

James McCann played half a set just instrumental and other half by himself plus his own vocals. His instrumentals are great, painting a picture with the use of a guitar. Play with him for the first half was Rui Pereira, who had an exhibition upstairs and also better known as guitarist in The Drones.

Saw Sam Simmons on Saturday, very funny man at a extreme pace, the show was about failing in life. Full of music, singing and plenty of slide show action. Was sporting a mo, hopefully his filming another season of Urban Monkey as Murray Foote.
